Ingredients
- 1 bag/box of chocolate cookie mix (we recommend Betty Crocker’s Double Chocolate Chunk Cookie Mix Pouch)
- Vegetable oil, water, and egg called for on cookie mix bag/box
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup I Am Edible Hazelnut Spread (not available in your state? See the Tips & Tricks section below)
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons shortening
- 1 tablespoon chocolate candy sprinkles (optional)
Find your local Ethos Dispensary to pick up infused hazelnut spread (available in MA only)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Make cookies as directed on box and let cookies cool completely.
- In a food processer, process cookies into fine crumbs.
- Add in cream cheese and I Am Edibles Hazelnut spread. Process until well combined.
- Shape cookie mixture into balls (see dosing tips) and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Refrigerate cookie balls for 15 minutes.
- In a medium bowl, microwave chocolate chips and shortening uncovered on high for 60 to 90 seconds until melted.
- Remove cookie balls from fridge. Using 2 forks, dip and roll the chilled cookie balls in melted chocolate.
- Return cookie ball to lined cookie sheet and immediately top with sprinkles.
- Refrigerate cookie truffles for 10 minutes until coating is set.
- Serve and enjoy!
Dosing Guide
This recipe makes up to 52 cookie balls. Refer to your product packaging to determine how many milligrams of THC are in 1/2 cup.
When making cookie balls, use the following guide to determine the desired dosing:
# of cookie balls made / 216 mg THC = #mg THC per cookie truffle
Tips & Tricks
If infused hazelnut spread is not available in your state, you can easily make your own! Just add the desired amount of your favorite tincture or distillate oil to 1/2 cup of Nutella (or similar) and substitute that for the I Am Edibles Hazelnut spread in the recipe!
